While the economy may be slow, real estate investing today really still can be worthwhile.  Here are a number of the benefits of investing today in real estate.

1. Returns on your investments: Experts today are saying that the economy is bound to bounce back in the near future.  This means that any properties you buy now should appreciate over the coming year and earn you great returns when you decide to sell.
2. Prices are low: Real estate prices are certainly tied to the economy.  When the economy isn’t doing well, real estate prices are low.  This works to your benefit, assuming that you have the capital with which to invest.  You can buy more property for less money and have more chances of turning a profit on your investment.
3. Lenders are willing to help: There is money available for you to borrow, as lenders understand just as well as you do that buying now could be a great investment.  You can find decent loans through banks, but can also find private lenders and others who are willing to lend the money you need.
4. Key investment properties: Of course, when you go to make a purchase, you’ll want it to be the right type of purchase.  Two great suggestions are to purchase a fixer upper home or a REOs (real estate owned properties).  Homes that need to be fixed up can be found cheaply, and the renovations shouldn’t take too much money.  REOs are homes that have been repossessed from owners who weren’t able to pay.  These homes have already undergone foreclosure, so the liens against them have already cleared.
