Indianapolis
Indianapolis is the capital of Indiana. As of 2009 there were just over 800,000 residents of this, Indiana’s most populated city. It is also the third largest Midwestern city after Chicago and Detroit. The focus of Indianapolis’ culture has traditionally been government and industry, with an emphasis on manufacturing. The economic base is diverse, with the city contributing to education, healthcare and finance.  Indianapolis plays hosts to a large number of conventions and sporting events. The most famous probably being the car racing even of the year known as the Indianapolis 500.
