Wilmington

Wilmington is Delaware’s largest city.  It was named by Proprietor Thomas Penn for his friend, Spencer Compton, Earl of Wilmington.  Wilmington is actually very close to Philadelphia, as it is 25 miles southwest of Philadelphia. This makes it a very convenient place to live and commute to the larger nearby city.  In addition, Wilmington has its own urban core, independent value as a business destination and its own community.
